Movie Reveiw of "Princess Bride"

    I saw "Princess Bride" and I will tell you about the movie. "Princess Bride" is mixed with Romance, adventure, comedy and fantasy. But it is romance based with other genres. The movie made in 1987. So it's really an old movie, and the director is Rob Reiner. The movie's about men and women's true love story.

     The characters in "Princess Bride" is grandson the sick boy, Buttercup princess, Westley, Humperdinck prince, Indigo, Fazzik,Vizzini, Count Rogen, Miracle Max, Dread Pirate Roberts and other characters. The movie actually started in a sick 6 years old Grandson's room, and then the grandpa come in and tell the story. The story is one that has been passed down from father to son for generations. And that's the part when the real story begin. There's young Buttercup and young Westley in the farm. And at the day when Westley needed to leave immediately to America to seek his fortune, she suddenly loved him. But soon reported to have been murdered by the Dread Pirate Roberts. Buttercup think never to love again. In the middle, Buttercup, engaged to the Humperdinck prince, is kidnapped and held against her will in order to start a war, that is up to Westley, who was actually Dread Pirate Roberts. On the way he meet Indigo who's really good at swording, super giant Fazzik, and Vizzini who was hired by Humperdinck to kidnap and murder Buttercup. But Westley win all three and save Buttercup from them. Buttercup and Westley travel through the Fire swamp. But they meet with Humperdinck on the way going out so she promise to let Westley and follow the prince. But they broke the promise and tortured Westley. In the end, Indigo and Fazzik reunite and save Westley and tries to save Buttercup from prince. Then Indigo meet Count Rogen, the six finger man, who killed his father and revenge. In the same time, Westley save Buttercup from Humperdinck prince and Fazzik prepare 4 horses to escape from the castle. So they escape happily from the palace. There were many settings in the movie. In 'Shrieking Eels', Buttercup almost died but 3 pirates saved her. 'Cliff of insanity' is the place when 3 pirates and Westley fight to save Buttercup. Westley and Buttercup also flee into the 'Fire Swamp' out of necessity and were caught on the other side by Prince Humperdinck. The monster in Fire Swamp was the point I think. And 'Florin' is where most of the main characters are from and where much of the action takes place. Humperdinck prince is the prince of Florin. 'Forest of thieves' are where 3 pirates kidnapped Buttercup princess and taked to the boat. Finally 'Pit of Despair' was where Count Rogen did torture to Westley.



     The lesson was that true love is better than anything, so Westley tried to save Buttercup princess despite the death and Buttercup princess, too. Also I think Indigo has a lot of leadership too. Because in Cliff of insanity, he said he will handle Westley, even though he couldn't he tried the best. And he's the person that took Westley to Miracle Max and saved him.


     Before I watch the movie, I thought we were watching 'Princess Diary', But we were actually watching "Princess Bride".  But movie was boring because it was English so I couldn't understand well and I was sleepy. The movie was about 1 men and 1 women loving each other and men try to save women. The movie told true love is better than anything, I couldn't really understand why they are trying to see each other desperately. But I think it would be a good movie for people who wants true love.
